The city of Guthrie does not have official Trick-or-Treating hours for the year 2026, however, three events are being offered for local children and families to in preparation for the witching hour!

Guthrie Main Street's 14th Annual Spooktacular,

Team New Jack's Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat Extravaganza,

and Tiny Town Baptist Church's Trunk or Treat.

They each have plans, and all three together offer multiple ways for families to make Halloween memories this year.

Fourteen Years of Spooktacular

Guthrie Main Street held its first Downtown Spooktacular in 2012, it's goal of giving children a fun, safe place to trick-or-treat has been met with many more years following. The event has grown over the years into a community gathering of businesses, organizations, and residents at Longhurst Park.

Tracy Robinson of Guthrie Main Street said one thing that is important for her is keeping the event free for children and participating businesses.

Tracy shared she loves that “Families can come to the park, enjoy the afternoon and let their kids participate without having to worry about it costing something,”

This year's Spooktacular will run from 3 to 5 p.m. and feature Trunk or Treat vehicles along the street and tables throughout the park. The Guthrie Fire Department and Police Department have also traditionally participated, helping make the event special for local children.

The event will include the drawing for Guthrie Main Street's golf cart raffle.

Businesses and residents are invited to reserve a Trunk or Treat spot or table at no charge. To participate, contact Guthrie Main Street at 615-618-9618 or guthriepartners@yahoo.com.

The meaningfullness of this is much more than crowd size according to Tracy.

“It's about seeing our community come together and seeing a park full of kids having fun and making Halloween memories right here at home.”

An Afternoon and Evening of Fun with Team New Jack

At Lizzy Dancy Park, Team New Jack is also planning a full day of Halloween activities with their Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat Extravaganza.

The Fall Festival will run from 1 to 4 p.m. It will featuring face painting, cake walks, games, prizes, food, and haunted hayrides.

The Trunk or Treat will follow from 6:30 to 10 p.m.

The event is advertised as free and open to the community.

Organizers also welcomed donations of candy and baked goods for the cake walk, along with volunteers to help with the festival. Anyone interested in participating in the Trunk or Treat or helping with the event can contact Sasha at 931-220-2438 to ask about availability and remaining needs.

Tiny Town Baptist Church Keeps the Candy Coming

As the evening gets underway, Tiny Town Baptist Church will offer another opportunity for children to collect treats.

The church's Trunk or Treat will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Renee Dukes, pastor Mike Dukes' wife said the church has held the event for the past three years.

And the event will go on regardless of the weather.

If rain or freezing temperatures make outdoor activities difficult, the church's fellowship hall will be used instead.

Families can plan on the event taking place even if the weather turns unpleasant.
